TEAMWORK MAKES

THE DREAM WORK

Designing a space takes a lot of planning and intricate steps.

Long hours are part of the territory, but we have a team we absolutely LOVE to work with (+ play with).

Our amazing team makes it happen! They bring joy to our workday, and their amazing talents to each of our projects - we're so grateful for them.

HW Interiors began in 2015 when good friends Lisa Hynes and Heather Weisz began collaborating on Lisa’s own new construction project.

The success of that initial project led to inquiries from potential clients and HW Interiors was officially incorporated in 2016, combining Heather’s unique aesthetic and Lisa’s organizational skills into a design firm that addresses the two things all clients desire from an interior designer: beautifully comfortable spaces executed in an efficient manner.  Since then we have completed countless projects both locally and across the US and Puerto Rico.

Heather and Lisa’s dedication to perfection is exhibited throughout their portfolio.  The ultimate goal is that every finished room is turnkey- functional, comfortable, accessorized, and styled right down to the last beautiful detail.

HW Interiors work has been featured in Equestrian Living, Architectural Digest, Palm Beach Illustrated, and Florida Home & Garden as well as a national print ad for Capital Lighting.

Heather Weisz | Principal Designer

Heather was born in New York into an equestrian family and to parents who were avid polo enthusiasts, who eventually moved the family to Wellington, FL to be a part of the South’s famed equestrian community.

Heather married a Argentine professional polo player and began traveling the world with her husband and eventually their three kids, living the nomadic life of a polo family.

Through her world travels she began to curate her design aesthetic and discovered her talent for rearranging the furniture of everyone she knew.

Eventually she pursed her love of all things visually alluring at the Art Institute in Miami, Florida. While traveling to Argentina with her husband she learned the language proficiently which has proved invaluable with our culturally diverse, mostly equestrian clientele in Florida.

Heather now resides in Wellington full-time with her husband, three children and their two dogs. In her (rare!) spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, all things creative, and a glass of good wine.

Emma Madero | Associate Designer

Emma was born and raised in Wellington, FL before relocating to Guam to reside for three years with her husband, a member of United States Navy. After leaving the island they moved to Gainesville, FL to continue her education in Interior Design at the University of Florida. She graduated with her Bachelor of Design in May 2020 before moving again, back to her hometown, Wellington, FL to join the HW Interiors team.

Being an Interior Design major in college, Emma found her way to HW Interiors to begin her next chapter as a Junior Designer. Emma’s design communication and project management skills transitioned perfectly into her role as Junior Designer, here at HW.

She enjoys traveling around the world and visiting new places to find design inspiration in her free time.

Lisa Hynes | Director of Operations

Born and raised in Connecticut, Lisa relocated to south Florida 11 years ago. After an initial period of culture shock, she eventually settled into content in Wellington and began truly appreciating the uniqueness of this community.

An English literature major in college, Lisa found life taking her on a different path when she began working in management for a large home health care company before taking time off to stay home with her kids. The resident software guru handles all aspects of business management, contractor coordination, and general project oversight. Extremely organized, Lisa has channeled that energy into keeping HW Interiors running efficiently and productively.

Lisa resides in Wellington, FL with her four children, and two rescue dogs. Her favorite things to do (besides work) are watching her kids sporting events, playing tennis, and lifting weights, which helps balance out her equally passionate love for all things chocolate.

Taylor | Associate Designer

A Florida native, Taylor completed her interior design undergrad degree and started her career working in construction management which made her a perfect fit to join HW in 2022. Taylor loves all things design and party planning, but most of all her French bulldog Bennett. Taylor has been an amazing addition to the HW team with her can-do attitude and stellar organizational skills.

She is also our resident tech support and we are thankful for that daily! In her free time, you can find Taylor hanging out at the beach with Bennett, at the gym, or spending time with friends traveling and trying new experiences.

Teri | Office Manager

Teri joined HW Interiors in 2021 as our Office Manager/Jack of all trades and has been an integral part of the growth of our business.  Teri utilizes her finance degree to keep our books clean and her tenacity and spirit to accomplish anything we throw at her.

Teri lives in Boynton Beach with her family where they live an active outdoor lifestyle, boating and fishing on the weekends and enjoying live music whenever possible. She keeps us laughing daily with her dramatic reactions and straight-shooting attitude and we couldn’t be happier to have her on the HW team.

SaraAlvarez_HWInteriors.jpg
Sara Alvarez | Associate Designer

Sara interned at HW before graduating from the New York School of Interior Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. Prior to returning to HW,  Sara interned with the luxury brand Saint Laurent and went on to work at a commercial design firm in the city working on projects such as Four Seasons, Kimpton as well as multi-family high rises and luxury penthouses. Sara was also recently chosen for the 2022 prestigious Metropolis Future100 award.

Raised in Miami by Colombian parents, Sara enjoys music, travel and is a lover of all things Epicurean! Her peripatetic life has inspired Sara's approach to design. Traveling is an avid hobby of hers, and she has intentionally immersed herself in many cultures. She is always looking for ways to incorporate the different architectural and design forms she has seen throughout her adventures. Sara believes our well-being has a lot to do with the environment, and we as designers, hold the power to enhance the quality of interiors and essentially our lives.

We're honored to be featured in amazing publications
